As I began to gain more and more attention for my works I kept on getting all these suggestions on free software I could use that is just a tid bit easier to work... but, alas, I was subborn and still went on to make these in paint:

By this time I had already began to receive requests from people to be "animaled" .. a term I didn't come up with... but I guess it works. The funniest thing about the picture above is.. the girl who requested it (yes, you Bianca) didn't remember who I was. She wrote me a very sweet email saying how she loved my pictures and would really like me to make one of her.... Little did she know I knew who she was... lets see... way back... maybe 3 or 4 summers ago in Portland.. during my post fake divorce drinking binge .. I had a rather colorful night. Lets just say I was being loud and drunk (and probably obnoxious) .. well I caught Bianca making fun of my behavior, and being wasted and sensitive as I was, this really hurt my feelings.. I hated her for about a year after that. Alas, I am not one to hold a grudge .. especially over something so dumb and decided to make her a picture. Shes actually got a really great face (even though I didn't use it.. but later in my career I do) and from what I hear is quite a blast to be around. So, Bianca, if you are reading this... it ain't no thang girl, but... some of us are sensitive.. and yes, I do plan on coming to LA and I do plan on getting sloppy drunk again... but this time with you.. and we can openly make fun of each other. All that said.. this picture was a fucking bitch ass to make... I was still using paint at this point, no layers. I had to crop the hand, cut it out paste it on the bird face.. cut that out then hope that it all aligned on the main pic.. and if I fucked it up (which I did) I would have to start over. Yeah.

Thats Dand, or in the world I have created, Tunadand. A lot of you may now him or recognize him from something called the internet... (and Portland and Atlanta.. and Chicago now too I guess, but mostly the internet) He's the only person I know that spend more time than me online (I am not judging) .. we are both victims of circumstance. Long story short: Save the Tunadands!

This is Craig. Those of you who love food would probably love him. He basically lives, breaths and, most of all, eats food. As far as the picture goes... no new discoveries.. just luck when finding a picture with matching lighting... Back to Craig though. He goes by the alias "Wolvesmouth" and will be releasing a television cooking show called "The Wolves Den" ... Check out his website... it's well worth your time: Wolves Mouth ... I have never eaten so well with any one before... it was fantastic. Also.. hes using this picture (huzzah!) Currently he works for someone ultra famous as their personal chef.. I am not going to mention any names...

In case any of your were wondering.. I work at a company called Prosites. We do websites for dental and doctor offices... I actually kind of like it here, mostly because of the people. Too bad its in Shitsburg Temecula. A bird in a cage I tell ya.. a bird in a cage...

Ah yes, Jhordan Dahl. Now shes a popular one... you can always expect for a picture to get a lot of attention when you make one using someone that very popular. We have been friends for quite some time now... although there was a brief period of time where things were said, feelings were hurt.. and we may have hated each other for a little bit. But it was all BS, and we got over it. .. all the same I made sure to choose an animal that wouldn't piss her off and was appropriate: a gazelle. I did her bangs some justice with good ol' copy and paste.. I trick I use on myself sometimes to doctor up pictures where my bangs choose to betray me... hair just has a lot of texture.. and using a crayon just doesn't quite cut it.

I am going to now and then pull something from my old myspace.. facebook.. whatever blogs post ect that I found interesting in the past and transfer it here... there will be more of these...

So, this is probably one of the most interesting/raddest things I've seen online... this is what we sound like to Italians.. and its pretty spot on. I love this guy's Van Morrison... and how good looking is that girl? ... damn Italians.

Article two: The quest continues...

Whelp, ya know, have you ever had one of those periods of time in your life where you think you have a plan and it all figured out.. just to have some turn of events take a dump ( ~@~ ) on it? I am beginning to worry that I am continuously trying to polish turds here... no matter how much I keep rubbing, no matter how shiny it gets... it's still just a turd. So.. lets take another look at a couple of turds shall we?



Chapter Two, my genius begins to shine:

As you can see I start to get a little better. I learned that you can cut and paste pieces of images to cover up any unwanted human and even used various paint brush tools to smudge things in... I prefer the crayon.

The first picture is of me during one of my greater moments... that was fourth of July.. I had been drinking for two days and someone had enough sense to give me a beer and some fireworks. Well done. I love the 4th of July in Portland. .. It only seemed appropriate to place myself inside a sharks mouth... thats kind of how I felt once i sobered up. Second is a picture of a short lived but great band made up a series of friends called "The Rebel Drones." My friend Dand suggested I use this picture to make a critter band because everyone looked bad in the original. .. You can see it below:

... so, with this, I started getting a lot of attention for my shitty little pictures on facebook...

Third, which turn into an instant classic is the majestic "Judtaur" .. which, of course, is my friend Jud. Man, finding a topless picture of a hunky guy like Jud just screams "make me into a centaur" .. so I did. This was quite the challenge.. because it was the first time I had to cover something in the background up. Hence, discovering the usefulness of cutting and pasting textures. Ta Da! My love for making taurs starts here…

Whelp, I guess it starts here

My name is Brittany Strong. Yes, that is a picture of me at the top of the screen. Some friends call me Choo Choo which I tend to adopt online. I mean, really, who likes to go by their real name online? Especially when it's Brittany. I am currently 24 years of age and under going what I would like to reffer to as a "quarter life crisis." I've recently discovered through the magic of MS Paint that one of my true callings in life is to make things that serve no greater purpose than creating maybe 5 seconds of entertainment (and a smile... but I wont get my hopes up). I am not a great writer, I have not gone to school, I work in an office with no windows but I can be damn likable. For all of the friends around the world that know me.. go easy on me. .. what was I talking about? I guess I was just trying to justify why I've created a blog to talk about myself on. ... well... here it goes...

I am going to start with simply talking about some thing I have made... but I am sure there will be a lot more added once I figure out what I really want this blog to be all about.

BEHOLD! My first creation...

Ok.. so the only reason I'm posting this piece of shit is to share the picture that helped me realize my passion for placing human faces on animals and vice versa. I don't know why I enjoyed making this so much. That happy looking creature is my ex boyfriend.. he shared a love of sloths. I felt like getting some attention from him and slapped this together. It's horrible, I know, but I thought it was funny. Also, all those I Can Has Cheeseburger nerds... I know I didn't create the quote, I simply stole the picture.

Now that I discovered the awesome power of MS paint and its magical cutting and pasting abilities I created these masterpieces:

Now, keep in mind I was just getting familiar with the whole cutting out and pasting of images... this is so not as easy as it looks in Paint.. there are no layers... you can't really change the angles ... when you resizes it it starts to look funny... they only way to correct an ill positioning is by hitting undo.. it was a mess. The first is my Swede Mattias (of Life on Earth and Dungen) .. I love ferrets... and I really like him.. so it seemed like a good fit.. I also found that picture of him online while being a creep (I gave him that shirt FYI) and snooping around online. The second picture are three most excellent ladies, Megan Barnett, Alex Moyer, and Claire... sorry Claire, I don't know your last name, I guess you just got lucky... They were origionally going to go on a cat body but since I didnt know how to size or create better angles or anything I gave up and just made them stick figures out of frustration. The 3rd is me.. I got jealous of Mattias's ferret picture and decided I wanted one.

I guess this is enough for post ONE ... I honestly don't know where this is going to go.. I am hoping this blog develops into something that enables me to.. I don't know... work through my quarter life crisis? ha

PS- the pictures get much better.. remember, this is just a start.

PSS- is there no spell check on this damn thing? This is going to be imbarrassing.
